Jews - What is the view on the afterlife?

Surely there must be eternal life of a sort after life on earth? David wrote about in Psalm 23. Also, is there a hell? Most don't, so what happens to Adolf Hitler..? In Isaiah it is said that God will make new heavens and new earth, "behold I make all things new". Are Christians going to hell or heaven or what? What is the bar of whether a person will go to "the world to come" or not?
