Do Care Homes Like The One In Tracy Beaker Exist?

There are care homes. But they are much more violent and sad places than the one portrayed in Tracey Beaker. They are often filled with disturbed children that have recieved abuse. I lived in a care home for 1 year while my mother was ill and my father wouldn't agree to take care of me as he had 5 kids by his second wife. Even though I was one of the luckier ones, it was still quite a disturbing place and the worst year of my life. Being wasn't just fighting over a t.v channel or chucking paint on someones head, where I went a lot of drugs were involved, it was terrible. I reccomend you to watch unloved - channel 4.
