How long after my sweet pepper plant grows its first flower will I finally have a pepper?
Days to harvest is usually included on the seed packet of the variety that you planted. If you don't have the package, peppers are generally 60-75 days after planting the seed. You can pick them once they are green or allow them to ripen further till red. You should see the baby pepper a few days after the flow falls off. It will taste better because you can eat it when it is really fresh rather than after it sat on a truck for weeks. The other value is that you can grow it without the use of pesticides so you know that you are only eating good food not chemicals too.
